Appeared in 56 of UNCG’s 57 games, starting 52 at second base … hit .188 with a double, a triple, four home runs and 11 RBI … also drew 18 walks and scored 20 runs … was second on the team in stolen bases, going 6-for-9 … had four multi-hit games … went 1-for-3 with a triple in her first career game, against Drexel on Feb. 13 … was 2-for-3 with a run and three RBI against Bethune-Cookman later that day … was 2-for-2 with a solo homer against Appalachian State on April 11 … also had two-hit games against North Carolina A&T (April 22) and Elon (May 13) … hit her first career home run against Jacksonville State on March 7 … also hit homers against Elon (April 3) and Samford (May 8) … earned a spot on the Dean’s List for the spring semester.
Four-year letterwinner for coach Robbie Wray at Middle Creek High School in Apex, N.C. … earned all-state honors as a junior and senior … was a three-time All-District 3 and all-county performer … took All-Tri 8 Conference and academic all-conference honors four times … was district, regional and conference player of the year in 2009 … won Middle Creek’s Wendy’s High School Heisman Award … holds school records for career hits, doubles, triples, home runs, RBI, runs scored and hit by pitch and single-season records for triples, home runs, runs, RBI and hit by pitch … helped the Mustangs win the Tri-8 Conference championship in 2008 … also helped the team to a regional runner-up finish and fourth place in the 4A state championships … made the state playoff appearances in her final three years on the team … member of the National Honor Society … played for the 18U NC Lady Lightning Gold summer team under coach John Corn.
