Remainder of UNCG Spartan Classic canceled

GREENSBORO, NC - The UNCG Spartan Classic has been wiped out by rain, UNCG coach Jennifer Herzig announced Saturday. Saturday's and Sunday's games have been canceled and will not be made up.

Inclement weather played havoc with the entire tournament schedule, as Friday's games were pushed back several hours and Saturday's contests were rescheduled before eventually being cancelled.

Those who purchased single-game Spartan All Access packages for Saturday's games can contact UNCG Sports Information Director Mike Hirschman about refunds at mwhirsch@uncg.edu.

UNCG is back in action on March 7 when it kicks off Southern Conference play at Western Carolina with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. The Spartans and Catamounts will wrap up the three-game series on March 8 at 1 p.m.
