2011-12 XC:  Finished 30^th overall in his 8,000 meter debut in a time of 27:05 at the Elon Invite (Sept 17) … was the second UNCG finisher at the Hagan Stone XC Classic, crossing the line in 27:23 to finish seventh overall (Oct 1) … recorded an 80^th place performance at the Panorama Farms Invite in Charlottesville, Va., with a time of 27:25 (Oct 14). Indoor: Began the season with a personal best time in the 3,000m at the Dick Taylor Invite running a time of 9:03.29 to finish 10^th overall (Jan 13) … set a personal best in the mile run at the Kent Taylor Invite with a time of 4:33.49 to finish 13^th overall (Feb 4) … ran a personal record time of 15:38.53 in the 5,000m at the Hokie Invitational (Jan 21). Outdoor:  Ran a personal best time of 32:44.63 in the 10,000m placing 17^th overall, qualifying for the Junior Nationals meet (Apr 6) … finished 10^th overall in the 10,000m at the Southern Conference Outdoor Championships in a time of 33:53.46, earning All-Freshman honors (Apr 21) ... SoCon Academic Honor Roll.

High School: Competed at East Lincoln High School for coach Melvin Morrison … earned three varsity letters in cross country … earned all-state and all-region honors in cross country … also helped his team to a state championship in cross country as a junior … was a two-time all-conference selection in cross country and was named team MVP as a senior … also earned two varsity letters in both indoor and outdoor track … earned all-state honors in outdoor track in the 3,200 meters after earning runner-up honors and was also named all-region … was also an all-conference selection in wrestling as he earned two varsity letter … named all-state and all-region in swimming during his senior season … earned all-conference honors in tennis as a senior, as well … also played two seasons of baseball.
