DURHAM, NC – Carly Magin set a personal best in the 3000 meter steeplechase to highlight UNC Greensboro’s second day of competition at the Duke Asics Invitational at Wallace Wade Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Despite windy and cold conditions, Magin crossed the line in 12:23.97, 12 seconds better than her previous best. The time was also good for 19th place.
On the men’s side, Justin Ruppe also recorded a personal best time in the steeplechase, crossing the line in 10:19.92. He placed 30th in the race, while teammate Ryan Rodd was 24th.
UNCG heads to Chapel Hill next Saturday for the Carolina Fast Times.
