Four Spartans set personal records at UNC Invitational on Friday

CHAPEL HILL, NC – Four Spartans set personal records to lead the UNC Greensboro track and field team on the opening day of the UNC Invitational meet.

On the men’s side, Xavier Rutz set a personal record in the 1500 meters. He finished 17th with a time of 4:02.89. Josh Wyatt and Lincoln Bennette also ran personal bests in the 1500 meters, crossing the line in 4:08.88 and 4:20.93, respectively.

On the women’s side Carly Magin set a personal record in the 1500 meters with a time of 5:12.74, which was good for 16th place, as did Naomi D'Amours with her 17th place time of 5:13.64.

Action continues on Saturday.
