UNCG concludes first day of competition at Wake Forest Open
WINSTON-SALEM, NC – UNC Greensboro opened competition against a nationally-renowned field at the Wake Forest Open track meet on Friday evening.
Xavier Rutz, who broke his own record in the 3000 meters last week, recorded a time of 15:37.49 to place 31st in the 5000 meters to highlight the action. In addition, Tim Kwak ran a 2:02.58 in the 800 meters, trimming three seconds off of his time last week at the 49er Classic in Charlotte.
Action resumes Saturday morning at Kentner Stadium.
