16 student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference
SPARTANBURG, SC -- Sixteen UNCG student-athletes have been named to the Southern Conference's Spring Academic All-Conference squads.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have competed in at least one-half of their team’s competitions during the spring.
Named to the Southern Conference Academic All-Conference squad for the spring were: baseball's Patrick Currin, Logan Smith, Greg Feltes, and Sean Snell; women's golf's Brittany Hofmeister and Jenna Schmidt; softball's Kara Clouser and Krista Judge; men's tennis' Marc Ladouceur; women's tennis' Sophie Rychlik, Erica Zabkar and Lourdes Moran; and outdoor track and field's Nicolas Vaccaro, Jess Weber, Erin Lord and Patricia O'Connell.
This is the third year that the Southern Conference has named an All-Academic Team by season. The all-academic teams are made possible by a grant from the Southern Conference’s Education Partner, TIAA-CREF.
