First-team All-Southern Conference in singles for the second straight season … also first team in doubles for the first time … set a school record for singles wins with a 28-6 mark on the season … was 19-3 in dual action, all at No. 1 … went 9-1 in conference play … won 16 straight matches after dropping his first singles bout of the spring … picked 19 of his 28 wins in straight sets … was 17-10 in doubles action with a 15-7 dual mark, playing every match but one with Arsel Kumdereli … played entirely at No. 1 and went 6-4 in SoCon play.

Freshman season (2008-09)
Was named the Southern Conference Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, becoming the first student-athlete to sweep the awards since the Freshman of the Year award was established in 1992 ... was named the SoCon Player of the Week on March 31 and April 14 ... was the SoCon Player of the Month for April ... went 25-5 overall at No. 1 singles and 22-3 in the spring, including a 9-1 mark in the SoCon ...
