CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Jacob Wright advanced to the semifinal round in the B1 singles bracket to highlight UNC Greensboro's first day of play at the UTC Baras Fall Invitational men's tennis tournament.
Wright, a sophomore from Asheville, N.C., won his first match by injury default and then handled third-seeded Kyle Wishing of Middle Tennessee State, 6-0 and 6-2.
Play was delayed four hours to begin the day because of rain, causing brackets to be pushed back throughout the day. The tournament will resume at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
