Litus rallies Spartans to 8-0 at home, UNCG downs Coastal Carolina, 4-3

GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNC Greensboro's Yaroslav Litus rallied from down a set to defeat  Alex Funkhouser in a three-set thriller to clinch a 4-3 win over Coastal Carolina in men's tennis action Thursday afternoon at UNCG Tennis Courts.

Playing at No. 3 singles, Litus lost the first set by a 6-4 score then rallied to win the second set in a tiebreaker, 7-2, and then won the third 6-4 to give the Spartans a 10-2 mark on the season and raise their mark at home to 8-0 on the spring season.

Orcun Seyrek, Timion Mejis and William John recorded straight-set wins in singles play to set the stage for Litus' thrilling clincher.

The Spartans return to action on Saturday when they visit Wofford for a Southern Conference match at 1 p.m.
