GREENSBORO, N.C.- UNC Greensboro swept all three doubles matches and claimed four of six singles matches in straight sets on its way to a 6-1 win over Longwood in nonconference men's tennis action Sunday afternoon.
Orcun Seyrek moved to 14-4 overall on the year, 5-1 in spring action, with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles over Nobu Tanaka. Timion Meijs stayed perfect on the spring at 6-0 and moved to 14-4 overall on the season with a 6-2, 6-3 triumph over David Cardoso. The freshman from The Netherlands playing at No. 4 singles has now won nine straight matches going back to the fall season.
In earning its fourth-straight win, UNCG (6-1) also got straight-set wins from William John and Yaroslav Litus, while Kyle Eddins came back to win a three-setter from Bruno Orlandini at No. 5 singles.
UNCG returns to action Tuesday when it visits Clemson at 2 p.m.
