UNCG routs Richmond, 7-0, for 13th win of the year

GREENSBORO, NC –UNC Greensboro won all three doubles matches and each of the six singles matches in straight sets as the Spartans dominated Richmond, 7-0, in men's tennis action on Sunday afternoon. 

Orcun Seyrek won his 14th straight match and for the 18th time in 19 spring matches with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Sami Belakhief. He is now 23-3 on the season with possibly a chance to break into the national Top 125 when the new rankings come out this Tuesday.

Arsel Kumdereli and Andrey Bubnov had the easiest wins of the day. Kumdereli topped Matthew Feeley, 6-1 and 6-0, at No. 3 singles to run his mark to 17-8 on the year. Bubnov shutout Rafael Arana, 6-0 and 6-0, to rain his record to 13-10 this season. Bubnov, a senior from Belgorod, Russia, has been hot down the stretch, having won seven of his last 10.

Now 13-6 on the season, UNCG faces nationally-ranked and backyard-rival Elon on Wednesday afternoon at Elon. Start time is set for 2 pm.
