UNCG's streak snapped in 6-1 loss at Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, AL – Orcun Seyrek was a double-winner on the afternoon, but it wasn't enough as UNC Greensboro saw its three-match winning streak halted in a 6-1 loss at Jacksonville State in Wednesday afternoon men's tennis action.

Seyrek teamed with Arsel Kumdereli for a win over Bernardo Bachino and Gustavo Holz, 8-5, at No. 1 doubles. He then topped Scott Robertson at No. 1 singles, 6-2 and 7-5, to earn UNCG's lone point of the afternoon.

The freshman from Istanbul, Turkey is now 13-3 overall and 8-1 in the spring season. He and Kumdereli are also 9-3 in doubles play.

UNCG returns to action next Thursday at home when it hosts East Carolina at 2:30 pm.
