GREENSBORO, NC – UNC Greensboro picked up wins at the top three singles slots after winning two of three doubles matches as the Spartans got past Georgia Southern, 4-3, in Southern Conference men's tennis action Saturday afternoon.
UNCG got singles wins from Orcun Seyrek, Andrey Bubnov and Arsel Kumdereli after the early 1-0 lead to wrap up UNCG's 12th win of the season (12-6), including a 6-2 mark in league play. Seyrek's win, a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Joris DeWeerdt, made him 22-3 on the year, including 17-1 this spring. The freshman from Istanbul, Turkey is a perfect 8-0 on the spring. Kumdereli earned his 16th win of the year, while Bubnov has 12 wins this year.
The Spartans returns to action Sunday afternoon when they step out of the conference to face Richmond for a 2 pm match.
