Spartans off to good start at Baras

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – UNC Greensboro got off to a strong start at the UTC Baras Intercollegiate tennis tournament, with five players advancing to the third round of play when Saturday's action begins.

Arsel Kumdereli, Orcun Seyrek, Yaroslav Litus, Kyle Eddins and William John each won twice on Friday to advance to Saturday morning's semifinal round. Seyrek may have had the most impressive win of the day, topping top seeded Zach Pine of Virginia Tech in Flight B1 in a three-set thriller, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.

Play continues on Saturday morning at 9 am.
