Clemson tops UNCG, 7-0
CLEMSON, SC – Clemson won five of six singles matches in straight sets on its way to a 7-0 win over UNC Greensboro on Sunday afternoon.
After the Tigers won the doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead, UNCG got off to a good start in singles’ action when junior Andrey Bubnov won the first set over Ike Belk, 6-4. But Belk won the next two sets and the Tigers won the remaining five singles matches in straight sets to earn their first win on the season.
The Spartans (0-2) return to action next Friday when they visit Old Dominion for a 7 pm match.
