Redelinghuys wins first round match, weather delays first day at Elon Invitational
ELON, NC – UNC Greensboro’s Martin Redelinghuys defeated Gabriel Delarue in a three-set thriller to highlight UNC Greensboro’s first day of action at the Elon Men’s Tennis Fall Invitiational at the Burlington Tennis Center.
Redelinghuys defeated Delarue, 6-7, 6-4, 1-0, with a 10-4 score in the tiebreaker. Only 11 of the scheduled matches were completed due to weather delays.
Play is expected to resume, weather permitting, on Saturday morning.
