UNCG drops SoCon match at Georgia Southern, 6-1

STATESBORO, GA – Arsel Kumdereli won in straight sets at No. 3 singles, but it was UNC Greensboro’s only victory of the day as the Spartans lost a Southern Conference men’s tennis match to Georgia Southern, 6-1, Sunday afternoon.

Kumdereli defeated Nkoueleue, 6-2 and 6-4. However, the Eagles (3-7, 1-1) won the remaining five singles’ matches and all three doubles pro-sets to earn their first SoCon victory of the season.

UNCG (4-6, 0-2) returns to action on Wednesday when it takes on Central Florida in Orlando, FL.
