Lower half of line-up carries UNCG past UNC Asheville, 4-3

ASHEVILLE, NC – After losing the doubles point, UNC Greensboro rallied with four straight-set singles’ wins to defeat in-state rival UNC Asheville, 4-3, in men’s tennis action Sunday night.

It was the bottom of the line-up that came through for UNCG on Sunday night, earning wins at Nos. 4, 5 and 6 singles. Martin Redelinghuys, who won at No. 2 singles, came through along with the trio of Ian Conchar, William John and Jason Steinhorn to earn straight-set wins as UNC Greensboro raised its record to 3-4 on the spring season.

UNCG returns to action next Saturday when it visits Chattanooga for a Southern Conference match.
