UNCG drops 4-2 decision at Kentucky
LEXINGTON, KY – Ian Conchar and Jason Steinhorn picked up wins in singles action, but UNC Greensboro dropped its second straight men’s tennis match, falling 4-2 at Kentucky on Sunday afternoon.
Conchar won at No. 4 singles, defeating Kyle Virgin in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-3. Steinhorn needed a little more for his win at No. 6 singles, defeating Roman Ogarkov. Steinhorn won the opening set 6-2, but lost the second set in a 10-8 tie-breaker. He won the 10-point third-set tie-breaker, however, 10-5.
UNCG returns to action when it visits backyard-rival High Point on Wednesday at 2 pm.
