Chattanooga edges UNCG, 4-3, in SoCon men's tennis clash

GREENSBORO, NC – UNC Greensboro and Chattanooga split the six singles matches, but Chattanooga won all three doubles’ pro-sets to slip past the Spartans, 4-3, in Southern Conference men’s tennis action on Saturday afternoon.

UNCG got singles wins from Marc Ladouceur, Martin Redelinghuys and Jason Steinhorn, while Chattanooga’s Mark Funn, Madr Bouabdellah and Razvan Axente recorded singles wins for the Mocs. The Mocs, however, opened the afternoon by winning all three doubles matches and that wound up being the difference.

UNCG returns to action on Monday when it travels to Davidson for a 2 pm SoCon match.
