Lewis wins in three sets, but UNCG falls at Charleston Southern, 6-1

CHARLESTON, SC – Ryan Lewis pulled out a three-set win, but it wasn’t enough as UNC Greensboro fell to Charleston Southern, 6-1, in men’s tennis action on Tuesday afternoon.

Lewis defeated Lee Floyd, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2, to earn the Spartans’ lone point of the afternoon. UNCG also picked up a win with a doubles pro-set when Lewis and Jason Steinhorn defeated Steven Dean and Murat Atilla, 8-4. But the Buccaneers won the other two doubles’ matches to earn the point.

UNCG returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Wofford in a Southern Conference match.
