No. 45 North Carolina State shuts out UNCG, 7-0, in Spartans' spring schedule opener
RALEIGH, NC – North Carolina State won all six singles matches and the three doubles pro-sets to take a 7-0 win over UNC Greensboro in the opening spring match for the Spartan men’s tennis team Saturday night.
The Wolfpack, ranked No. 45 as a team in the latest ITA rankings, moved to 5-0 on the season. UNCG’s Ian Conchar gave Mason Schermerhorn a scare at No. 5 singles. Conchar lost by scores of 6-4 and 7-5, the closest of the evening’s matches.
UNCG will host High Point in its home opener on Tuesday at 2 pm.
