+ UNCG returns home Wednesday to begin a four-match homestand, hosting William & Mary. The Tribe lead the all-time series, 6-3-1. The teams last met in the season-opener in 2008. William & Mary won that match, 2-1. UNCG last visited Greensboro in the 2005 season for Homecoming. The Spartans won 4-3 on a late goal by Henning Jonasson.
+ UNCG is coming off a 2-0 win over Richmond on Sunday. Freshman Aaron Reifschneider and redshirt freshman Adam Shore scored their first collegiate goals in the win. Reifschneider scored just six minutes into the match as UNCG took an early 1-0 lead. Shore scored off a feed from Matt Strine midway through the second half to add some insurance. Peyton Ford recorded two saves in logging his first shutout this season and the fourth of his career.
+ William & Mary downed West Virginia and Rhode Island last weekend to claim the ODU/Stihl Soccer Classic title. The Tribe began the year with a 3-1 win at Loyola (Md.).
+ The Tribe is ranked No. 23 in this week's Top Drawer Soccer rankings. William & Mary is also receiving 24 votes this week in the NSCAA poll. Senior Ryan Snyder has been an offensive force for the Tribe in its first three matches, scoring four goals, including two game-winners, while also tallying an assist. For his efforts, Snyder was named Top Drawer Soccer's National Player of the Week and also the CAA Player of the Week. Snyder was the ODU/Stihl Soccer Classic MVP with three goals and an assist in the two wins.
+ Tribe senior midfielder Nat Baako entered the season as one of the top players in the country, having been named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List, an award considered the top individual honor in college soccer.
+ UNCG will face Navy at home on Saturday night. Game time is set for 7 p.m. and the match will be shown on Spartan All Access. The Spartans will also face Campbell and Wake Forest (Homecoming) in this homestand.
