UNCG-Campbell rescheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 5

GREENSBORO, NC – The men’s soccer match between UNC Greensboro and Campbell, which was originally slated for Wednesday night, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 7 pm.

Severe thunderstorms rolled through the Triad area Wednesday in the late afternoon and continued intermittently through the evening hours. Lightning in the air forced the players to remain in their locker rooms just before warm-ups were slated to being at 6 pm. At 7:30 pm, 30 minutes past the scheduled start time, a decision to postpone the match was made.

The two teams’ schedules did not present very many options for common open dates. However, the coaches agreed on Thursday afternoon to try to play the match next Tuesday night.

UNCG’s next match will be in Richmond, VA against Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday at 7 pm.
