Men's Golf Takes Part In Snowman Getaway In Arizona

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG men's golf team returns to play Monday and Tuesday in Arizona as they Spartans take part in the Snowman Getaway hosted by Washington State at the Palm Valley Golf Club. 

The 14-team tournament will feature 36 holes played Monday and 18 holes played Tuesday for the 54-hole event total. Both days will see a 7 a.m. Pacific Time shotgun start with live scoring available at www.golfstat.com. The Palm Valley Golf Club will play at a par 72 and at 7,015 yards for the Snowman Getaway.

Joining the Spartans in the field is host No. 60 Washington, No. 26 Missouri, Kansas State, Minnesota, UMKC, St. John's Gonzaga, Air Force, Missouri State, Utah Valley, SIU-Edwardsville, Seattle and Loyola (Md.). Additionally, Arizona State and UCLA will have individuals competing, but will not have team entries.

In the team lineup for the Spartans this week is senior Robert Hoadley (Southern Pines, N.C./Union Pines), sophomore Alex Ehlert (Raleigh, N.C./Athens Drive), sophomore Roy Dixon (Salisbury, N.C./Salisbury), senior Matt Younts (Stokesdale, N.C./Northwest Guilford) and freshman Luke Haithcock (Burlington, N.C./Williams). Additionally, freshman Taylor Coalson (Dobson, N.C./North Surry) will be playing as an individual this week.
