Men's Golf Holds First Tee Clinic At Bridgestone Golf Collegiate
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG men's golf team hosted members of the First Tee of Triad for a free youth clinic Friday afternoon prior to the eighth annual Bridgestone Golf Collegiate at Grandover Resort. The Spartans gave golf instruction members of the First Tee after the practice round of the tournament and were invited to attend the 2012 Bridgestone Golf Collegiate to watch one of the most prestigious college golf events of the fall.
The Spartans are in their fourth season of working with First
Tee of the Triad. UNCG's men's golf student-athletes periodically
assist at local clinics sponsored by the First Tee program
throughout the year. In fact, senior Robert
Hoadley (Southern Pines, N.C./Union Pines) is a graduate of the
First Tee program that was held near his hometown of Southern
Pines, N.C.
The First Tee of the Triad teaches young people, ages 7 to 18, positive and effective life skills utilizing the great game of golf. We impact hundreds of lives each year by providing learning facilities, golf skill instruction and programing across the Triad. Our Lead Coaches and Volunteers promote quality of character, healthy lifestyles, and life-enhancing values represented by The First Tee's Nine Core Values and Nine Healthy Habits.
