Men’s golf completes first two rounds at Pinehurst Intercollegiate

PINEHURST, N.C. –UNCG men's golf team fired a two-round total of 610 during the first day of the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, Saturday at Pinehurst No. 6.

The Spartans opened the day by shooting 308 during the morning and 302 in the afternoon, and are currently 12th overall. Old Dominion leads the 12-team tournament after shooting 574.

Alex Ehlert leads the Spartans and is tied for 30th after shooting 149 (75-74). Will Almand is tied for 37th at 151 (76-75).

Roy Dixon is tied for 57th at 156 (81-75), and Robert Hoadley is tied for 60th at 157 (79-78). Andy Knox is 70th at 163 (78-85).

Kyle Sonday is playing as an individual and is tied for 25th at 148 (72-76).

The third and final round is schedule for an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday.
