Weather alters Bridgestone format

GREENSBORO, N.C.--Persistent rains and unexpected cold have not only pushed back the start of the 2011 UNCG Bridgestone Golf Collegiate to an 11 a.m. shotgun start each day, but have also trimmed the tournament down to a 36-hole event.

The 15-team field will now play 18 holes each day this weekend, beginning Saturday at Forest Oaks Country Club. The event is open to the public and admission is free. Fans can follow live scoring at Golfstat.com.
