Spartans to participate in Wolfpack Intercollegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. — UNCG continues its fall schedule at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate, Oct. 3-4 at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C. The field features 16 teams playing 54 holes over two days.

UNCG finished in a three-way tie for seventh last week at the VCU Shootout. Senior Colin Chapman was the Spartans' top finisher, coming in 16th at 3-uner par 213.

UNCG Notes: After one tournament UNCG is ranked 76th in the GolfStat.com head-to-head rankings … the Spartans will look to improve upon their seventh-place finish at last week's VCU Shootout … UNCG endured some ups-and-downs at VCU, shooting the tournament's best first round score (280) and following it up by shooting the worst second round score (297) … the Spartans rebounded nicely in the third round with a 286 … senior Colin Chapman finished 16th to lead the Spartans … freshman Roy Dixon shot a 68 in the opening round of his first collegiate tournament … three Spartans – Chapman, Alex Ehlert, Andy Knox – shot under par during the third round.
