RIO GRANDE, P.R. - UNC Greensboro shot a final round 289, led by Colin Chapman's third consecutive round of 69, to close out the Puerto Rico Classic on Tuesday.
Chapman, a sophomore from Canton, N.C., finished sixth in the 75-player field by equalling his season-low for the third consecutive day. His tournament score of 207 was a season-best, as well.
Kevin Tway, son of PGA golfer Bob Tway, won the individual title. The Oklahoma State star finished at 199 after a final round 66, three shots better than Cody Gribble of Texas.
Texas won the team title with a score of 822, six shots better than Oklahoma State. Clemson was third at 843. UNCG finished 15th with a score of 881.
The Spartans return to action on March 12 when they go to the Pinehurst Intercollegiate at Pinehurst No. 8.
