The Flamboyan, Puerto Rico – UNC Greensboro’s Will Bowman earned his first career win on Wednesday at the Palmas Del Mar Intercollegiate with a final round 73 for a two-shot win.
Bowman shot a final round 73 for a wire-to-wire win, the first time he has finished above 10th in a college event. The junior from Greensboro, NC held off VCU’s Mark Jargren for the two shot win. UNCG’s Ryan Heisey was third, three shots back at two-under 214.
The Spartans finished third in the team standings. VCU held on for the team title with a score of 870. Notre Dame was second at 876, followed by UNCG at 880.
UNCG returns to action Sunday when play begins at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.
