ORLANDO,Fla. – Will Bowman recorded rounds of 72 and 74 as UNC Greensboro carded a 36-hole score of 599 on the first day of the Rio Pinar Invitational men’s golf tournament.
Bowman is tied for 24th place after the opening round at two-over par. Central Florida’s Blayne Barber is leading the field after a second round score of 64. He leads by four shots over Bobby Massa of Texas-Arlington.
Central Florida, the tournament host, shot an opening day total of 571, including a blistering 277 in the afternoon round. Louisville is second at 575, following by Vanderbilt and UT-Arlington at 577.
Tuesday’s final round gets underway at 8:30 am.
