NASHVILLE, Tenn. – UNC Greensboro senior Nathan Stamey is four shots off the pace in a tie for 13th after the opening round at the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate, hosted by Vanderbilt University at the Vanderbilt Legends of Tennessee Golf Club.
Stamey, a native of Canton, NC, shot a 33 on the back side of the course, tied for the low of the day on that side, to come in at even-par 71. Augusta State’s Jake Amos – the only other player to record a 33 on the back side of the course, holds the lead after one round after shooting a 67 on Sunday. He has a one shot lead over South Alabama’s Jack Hiluta.
Monday’s second round gets underway with tee times beginning at 8 am.
