UNCG finishes 14th, Stamey records Top 20 at Coca-Cola Duke Classic

DURHAM, N.C. – Will Bowman fired a final round 70 and Nathan Stamey carded a 73 as UNC Greensboro finished 14th at the Coca-Cola Duke Golf Classic on Monday afternoon.

Stamey’s 70 earned him 20th place with a tournament total 217. For the senior from Canton, NC, it is his second Top 20 finish in three starts this season and the 15th of his career. Bowman’s 219 was a career-low in his 10th career tournament.

Chattanooga and Duke tied for the team title at 842. UNCG carded a team score of 297 on Monday to finish at 888. Chattanooga’s Jonathan Hodge won the individual title with a blistering 204 after carding a 67 on Monday to earn a three-shot lead over Old Dominion’s Eric Onesi.

UNCG returns to action on Sunday, October 21 at the Mason Rudolph Invitational at Legends GC in Franklin, TN.
