UNCG moves up to 10th on final day at Palmetto

AIKEN, S.C. – UNC Greensboro carded a final round 301 to move up to a tenth place finish at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate men’s golf tournament.

John Isenhour and Will Bowman led the way for UNCG in the final round with scores of 72 and 75. repectively. Nathan Stamey was UNCG’s best finisher, placing in a tie for 26th place after shooting 77 in the final round.

Chattanooga coasted to the team championship, winning by 30 shots over second place Virginia Tech. The Mocs shot 282 on the final day to extend what began the day as a 16-shot lead. Chattanooga’s Jonathan Hodge carded the best round of the day, a 67, to rally for the individual title at 212. He won by one shot over a trio of golfers.

UNCG returns to action on Sunday when they begin play at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.
