Balanced UNCG fourth, four shots off the pace after two rounds at Sam Hall
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - With all five golfers having a hand in it, UNCG is just four shots back entering Tuesday’s final round at the Sam Hall Invitational hosted by University of Southern Mississippi.
UNCG shot rounds of 286 and 281 on Monday. In the morning round, Nick Baker and Kyle Stockton shot even par, while J.D. Bass and Nathan Stamey were both one-over. In the afternoon, freshman Drew Younts fired a 69, while Bass carded a 70 and Baker and Stockton were both at even-par 71.
UNCG is four shots behind Austin Peay and Rhode Island, which sit tied atop the leaderboard at 563. Middle Tennessee State is third at 565.
Individually, Bass, Baker and Stockton are all tied for 14th place at even par 142. Rhode Island’s Ben Spitz sits atop the individual leaderboard at six-under.
The third round will be played Tuesday morning.
