Spartans 14th after two rounds at VCU/Mattaponi Springs Shootout

RUTHER GLEN, Va. – UNC Greensboro senior J.D. Bass is one-over par and freshman Drew Younts is two-over par after two rounds at the VCU/Mattaponi Springs Shootout.

Bass is tied for 23rd after shooting even par with a 72 in the morning, followed by a 73 in the afternoon. Younts shot 74 in the morning, then came back to shoot an even round in the afternoon to sit in a tie for 27th place after 36 holes.

Kent State’s Marc Bourgeois and Wisconsin’s Dan Woltman are tied atop the individual leaderboard at nine-under par 135.

As a team, UNC Greensboro is in 14th place after the first two rounds. Louisville leads the team standings with a score of 565, followed by Penn State and Kent State at 566. UNCG sits at 600.
