ANN ARBOR, Mich. – UNC Greensboro’s men’s golf team shot a final round 300 to card a tournament total 884 and finish in 14th place at the Wolverine Intercollegiate on the campus of the University of Michigan.
Tournament host Michigan won the event, recording a team total 839 to win by 11 shots over Xavier and Charlotte.
J.D. Bass led UNCG individually. He fired a final round 75 to finish the tournament at five-over 218, which placed him tied for 35th. Nathan Stamey rallied from a difficult opening round on Saturday to finish tied for 41st. Stamey shot a 78 in the first round on Saturday, but came back to shoot 69 on Saturday afternoon and fired a 72 on Sunday morning to finish with a respectable showing.
UNCG heads to Richmond, VA next for the Mattaponi Spring Collegiate on October 3 and 4.
