UNCG 13th after two rounds at The Wolverine Intercollegiate men’s golf tournament

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Tournament host Michigan holds a 12-shot lead over Oregon State after 36-holes at The Wolverine Intercollegiate men’s golf tournament at the par 71, 6,704 yard U-M Golf Course.

Michigan’s Brain Ottenweller is the tournament’s overall leader after firing a pair of 67’s in Saturday’s two rounds.  He holds a two shot lead over Kansas State’s Ben Kern and teammate Christian Vozza.

UNC Greensboro sits in 13th place after firing rounds of 304 and 280.  J.D. Bass is the team leader as the junior is in a tie for 24th after shooting rounds of 73 and 70.  Not far behind, Jake Lowder finished his afternoon with rounds of 77 and 69, leaving him tied for 42nd place.

Nathan Stamey fired rounds of 78 and 69 and sits tied for 45th while freshman Kent Copeland is in 54th place after shooting rounds of 76 and 72.  Rounding out UNCG’s participation in the field is Bradley Leeper, whose two rounds of 80 and 79 landed him tied for 83rd place. 

The third and final round gets underway with a shotgun start on Sunday at 8:30 am.
