Spartan Club location change, promotions highlight men’s basketball home opener

GREENSBORO, N.C.—Two promotions and one significant change highlight fan opportunities for Thursday's UNCG men's basketball home opener against UNC Pembroke at Greensboro Coliseum. Game time is 7 p.m.

A special tailgate party sponsored by ZipCar, the world's largest car-sharing provider, will run 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum E Lot parking area. Free food from Subway and Bojangles will be provided for the first 500 fans in attendance. Complimentary ZipCar memberships will also be available, along with t-shirts, water bottles and more.

Inside the Coliseum fans can participate in the Basketball Fall Kick Off event, which is free for all fans. Fans will have the opportunity to celebrate the new season with free face painting, inflatable toys, video game stations and more.

Additionally the Spartan Club hospitality event – featuring a pregame meal, cash bar and a "chalk talk" by a member of the UNCG coaching staff – will be held in the Coliseum Terrace. The Terrance will open 90 minutes prior to each game and is available to Spartan Club donors who contribute $500 or more.
