GREENSBORO, NC – UNC Greensboro Director of Athletics Nelson Bobb announced Monday that the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) will televise two men’s basketball games this season, bringing the total number of TV games to five during the regular season.
MASN will broadcast UNCG’s game at UNC Wilmington on December 29 and the Spartans’ home game against Davidson on February 13. Both games tip-off at 7 pm.
UNCG already had TV dates set for February 19 at Davidson on ESPN2 and January 5 against Georgia Southern and January 19 at Elon on SportSouth.
“We are very pleased to be able to announce these additions,” said Bobb. “Five games broadcast on television, with the potential for more during the conference tournament, will bring our program a tremendous amount of exposure this season to a wide-geographic audience.”
MASN airs over 520 live sporting events every year including over 200 NCAA football, basketball and lacrosse games. MASN televises every available game of the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals and is the only Regional Sports Network in the country to have 320 live MLB games. MASN is currently carried on twenty-one cable providers throughout a six-state region (Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia). Being located in the fourth-largest television market in the nation, MASN is broadcast into 5.2 million households.
