2012: Played in 16 games, making 12 starts – seven as designated hitter and five in left field … also made 10 appearances on the mound with a 1-0 record … produced two RBI and hit his lone home run of the campaign in the season-opening 13-0 victory over Delaware State (2/17) … drew a pair of walks against Samford (3/9) … picked up the victory in a 6-3 decision over Princeton (3/21), throwing two scoreless innings and striking out a batter … hurled a season-high 59 pitches against Furman (3/30).

Earned four varsity letters as a pitcher, outfielder and first baseman at North Stokes High School in Danbury, N.C. for coach Scott Smith … earned all-state honors after his senior season … named the Northwest 1A/2A Conference Player of the Year his last season … earned all-conference honors his last three seasons … earned a spot on the State Games and Senior Games rosters … hit .509 as a senior at the plate, while earning five wins and sporting a 2.10 ERA on the mound … set a school record with 11 home runs as a senior … also played as a power forward on the basketball team for two seasons.
