2011: Named to the Southern Conference Freshman All-Conference team … served as the team’s Saturday starter for most of his freshman season … finished the year with a 2-2 record and a 3.78 ERA … made 16 appearances, including 13 starts, and was a part of one shutout … picked up his first win of the season against The Citadel after pitching five innings and allowing just one run on four hits … got his second win in his next game as he pitched five scoreless innings against Wofford … struck out a season-high eight batters against Albany … recorded a no-decision at Samford as he went a season-long seven innings and gave up just one run on three hits … finished third on the team in strikeouts with 45.

High School:
Four-year letterwinner at Grays Creek High School for coach Jeff Nance … named Cape Fear Valley Conference Player of the Year as a senior … went 7-1 as a senior with a miniscule 0.46 ERA, while striking out 93 batters in 45 innings … earned all-state honors as a junior and senior … also named to the Cape Fear All-Region team his final two seasons … had 113 strikeouts and a 1.16 ERA his junior season … named team MVP his final three years … played in the state games … set the school record for most striekouts and most home runs.
