Storylines:
• After dropping two-of-three to Georgia Southern in over the weekend, UNCG returns home to face Princeton in a midweek nonconference game on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at UNCG Baseball Stadium.

• Over the weekend, UNCG and Georgia Southern squared off in a Southern Conference series in Statesboro, Ga. Following a two-hour lightening delay on Friday, Garner, N.C., native Kris Richards led off the game with a home run, but Georgia Southern took the lead for good with a three-run first inning and won game one, 8-3. On Saturday, the two teams combined for 23 runs, 24 hits, seven errors, and five home runs. Lloyd Enzor and Thomas Troelstrup led the hit parade for the Spartans combining for six hits. Enzor connected on two two-run home runs and Troelstrup went 4-for-5 with four RBI as UNCG won for the first time at Georgia Southern since 2004, 12-9. The Eagles' Eric Phillips proved too much for the Spartans in the series finale, accounting for four RBI, including a two-run shot in the decisive seventh inning as Georgia Southern squeaked out a 6-5 victory. 

• Fallston, Md., native Corey Taylor has made an immediate impact since joining the Spartans this year, logging a team-high 23 1/3 innings of work thus far. In five starts, he is 2-1 on the season and has a team-high 23 strikeouts while batters are hitting a bleak .172 against him, which is fourth-best in the SoCon.

• Redshirt junior Trevor Edwards has been leading the Spartans at the plate in the early part of the season. He is currently second in the Southern Conference in home runs (eight), fourth in the league in slugging percentage (.686), and tied for sixth in total bases (48).

• Last year, UNCG used six pitchers to throw a seven-hit shutout in a 1-0 victory over Princeton. Cambric Moye was responsible for the game's only RBI and Zach Furl picked up the win for the Spartans. UNCG leads the all-time series, 11-2. Out of the 13 games, seven of them have been decided by one run. The last time Princeton beat UNCG was March 15, 2010, 8-7, in a 12-inning affair.

• Sam Mulroy leads the Tigers in runs scored (13), home runs (three), RBI (10) and total bases (28) and is tied for first with 16 hits. Junior Zak Hermans leads the Tigers' pitching staff with two wins and 19 strikeouts on the year while opponents are hitting .286 against him.

• Like last year, the Spartans are thriving on "small ball" and currently lead the nation with 35 sacrifice bunts on the season. Oregon St. is second with 34.

• Through the first 19 games of the season, the Spartans have already hit 23 home runs, which ties last year's total. Edwards leads the way with eight home runs. UNCG has sent a ball over the fence in 12 of its 19 contests. UNCG has three players (Edwards, Enzor, and Richards) in the top five for home runs in the Southern Conference.

• UNCG started this season 7-0, marking the first time since 2003 that the Spartans had begun the season with seven wins. That year, the team began the year 12-0, which is the best start in school history.

• For his performance against UNC Asheville and Penn State, Troelstrup was named the SoCon Player of the Week on Feb. 27. He hit .500 (9-18) for the week as he hit three doubles and one home run. He also added seven RBI and five runs scored.

• UNCG has made admission free for all home games this season at the UNCG Baseball Stadium. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Spartans all season long on campus.
