Author of “Chasing Moonlight” coming to UNCG

GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNCG athletics and the Friends of the UNCG Libraries will host Brett Friedlander, author of "Chasing Moonlight: The True Story of Field of Dreams' Doc Graham," on Tuesday.

Moonlight Graham, made famous in the film "Field of Dreams," juggled a career in minor league baseball along with his medical training. Graham also has ties to the UNC school system, where his brother was UNC system president Frank Porter Graham and cousin was UNCG Chancellor Edward Kidder Graham.

Friedlander will host a talk about Moonlight Graham's life in the EUC's Dogwood Room beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, followed by a book signing at the UNCG vs. Wake Forest baseball game at 6 p.m.  Copies of "Chasing Moonlight: The True Story of Field of Dreams' Doc Graham" will be available for sale on the concourse of the UNCG Baseball Stadium.  Both events are free of charge.
