Summer Ball: Played this past summer in Martinsville, Va. for coach Barry Powell and the Martinsville Mustangs.

High School: Lettered all four years in baseball for coach Brett Harwood at Whiteville High School ... was named all-conference his final two years ... earned all-region honors as a senior as well ... was also a four-year football player ... he earned all-conference and all-county honors during his final two years ... is also an Eagle Scout.
