Chris Roberts Resigns as Assistant Baseball Coach
GREENSBORO, NC – UNC Greensboro baseball assistant coach Chris Roberts has resigned from his position with the Spartans to accept a similar position at Stetson University, it was announced on Thursday, Aug. 7.
Roberts served as the Spartans' pitching coach last season. Under Roberts' guidance, UNCG pitchers recorded 411 strikeouts, which was the highest single-season total since the Spartans tallied a program-best 495 in 2003. Meanwhile, right-handed pitcher Greg Martin was named to the Coaches All-Southern Conference second team.
A national search will begin immediately.
