GREENSBORO, N.C. –  The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team fell to The Citadel Bulldogs 3-2 (20-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-22, 16-14) on Friday night in Fleming Gym.
 
  
HOW IT HAPPENED

• UNCG and The Citadel traded points back and forth in the first set. A block from Grey Breen and Jocelyn Carter would start a 4-0 run to end the first set for the Spartans.
• The Blue and Gold jumped out to a 13-5 lead in the second set.
• The Bulldogs closed the gap and came within three, but Brittany Wood and Hannah Knier would give the Spartans a 2-0 lead in the match.
• The Citadel came back and won sets three and four.
• After falling to a 9-5, the Spartans battled their way back to tie the set at nine.
• From there, it a was back and forth battle between the two squads, but The Citadel would take the match.

 
 
UPCOMING
The Spartans will stay home and welcome Chattanooga and ETSU next Friday and Saturday.
