2013 Spring Tryout Dates and Location

Friday, April 12  5 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Location: HHP Building, 1st floor, Two-Court Gym

Saturday, April 13  9 a.m. - 9 p.m. (There will be a lunch and dinner break)

All tryout sessions for UNCG Cheerleading are closed without exception.

Video Tryout Submission: Submission of a tryout video will not be accepted. However, extreme situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis and the coaching staff reserves the right to deny the option of a video tryout at their discretion.

The cheerleading squad is a co-ed group of full-time UNCG students dedicated to performing throughout the men’s and women’s basketball season as well as various special events during the academic year. The squad performs at all regular-season men and women’s home basketball games, while a select group travels to the Southern Conference Championship in March.

All squad members are part of the athletics department and attend study hall as part of the department’s Academic Enhancement Program. Satisfactory academic progress is expected for all student-athletes. All members of the UNCG Cheerleading squad must be a full time UNCG student, enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours, and maintain a minimum 2.3 GPA.

There are several scheduled practice sessions every week, which include strength and conditioning work.
